“Life is amazing. And then it’s awful. And then it’s amazing again. And in between the amazing and the awful, it’s ordinary and mundane and routine.
Breathe in the amazing, hold on through the awful and relax and exhale during the ordinary. That’s just living heartbreaking, soul-healing, amazing, awful, ordinary life. And it’s breathtakingly beautiful.”
~ L.R. Knost
This quote summarizes how I feel about this year. There were many wonderful memories from 2015, but also challenging times. I know many who went through personal losses, breakups, illnesses, accidents, challenges and disappointments this year. So no matter what 2015 brought for you, I do wish you many amazing moments for 2016, as well as patience, strength and acceptance for any awful moments, and appreciation and enjoyment for the ordinary moments.
Even though we can’t control everything that happens in our lives, we can still choose what we want to focus on and our reactions to events. So I am focusing on lessons learned from this past year and how I want to BE next year. Happy. Loving. Patient. Kind. More courageous. More willing to accept help. More focused.
What did you learn this past year and how do you want to BE in 2016?
